Nicholas “Nick” Somberg is a Michigan trial attorney and the founder of Somberg Law, PLLC in Bingham Farms, Michigan. His practice focuses on criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation across Metro Detroit, including felony and misdemeanor defense, DUI and traffic offenses, expungements, car accidents, and wrongful death cases.
Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oakland University in 2012 and his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2015. He has been licensed to practice law in Michigan since 2015 and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
A vocal advocate for constitutional rights, Nick was the plaintiff in Somberg v. McDonald, No. 23-1872 (6th Cir. 2024), a First Amendment case arising from his defense work during a virtual court hearing. In 2024 he was the Republican nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District, winning the August primary before the November general election.
Outside the courtroom, Nick is a lifelong entrepreneur and an active member of the Oakland County community.
